This project visualizes the japanese suicide rate throughout the years and show why and where Japanese people are suiciding the most. There are examples such as Iwate, Akita, and Yamanashi Prefecture that has a constantly high suicide rate. Especially Yamanashi prefecture because is famous for Aokigahara, also known as the suicide forest. There is also a large mental health issue, where the category "health" outclasses all the other reasons by a large margin which say something about Japan's social structure that causes this depression epidemic.
